Ronnie Hooks, 62, died Thursday, May 7, 2015.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Cross Pointe Church with Pastor Alfonso Delgado officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Ronnie was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Amarillo to Robert and Evelyn Hooks. He was raised in Amarillo, where he graduated from Amarillo High School in 1972. He married Deana Stephens on Oct. 4, 1980, in Amarillo.
Ronnie worked for Coca-Cola as a service technician for more than 20 years. He enjoyed spending his time at home watching The History Channel and old westerns. He also was an avid Texas Rangers fan.

Ronnie enjoyed talking to others and was considered a mentor to many. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who he loved to rock in his rocking chair and welcomed others in as part of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Deana Hooks of Amarillo; a son, Tim Hooks and wife Leslie of Amarillo; three daughters, Kathy Stephens of Odessa, Leigh Ann Dominguez and husband Antonio Jr. of Amarillo and Erica Hooks and fiancé Christopher Cantrell of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Koby and Kyleigh Hooks of the home, Kaylynn, Keedan, Makenlie and Makenna Hooks, Kaybreigh Dominguez and Braiden Cantrell; and honorary family member, Raymond Gibbons.
